Fourth time’s the charm?
The US release of Gerard Butler’s asteroid movie Greenland has been pushed back yet again, this time from September 25 to sometime later in 2020.
It had originally been slated for release on June 11 in North America, and then was delayed until July 25, August 14, and the most recent September date. In the other countries where the film has opened, the movie has grossed $12.5 million so far (on an estimated budget of $11.5 million).
The film reteams Butler with Angel Has Fallen director Ric Roman Waugh, with a script from Chris Sparling (Buried). The cast also features Scott Glenn, Andrew Bachelor, Roger Dale Floyd, and David Denman.

Oscar-winning composer Al Kasha died on September 15 in Los Angeles, at the age of 83, according to spokesperson Deborah Radel. No cause of death was given
Along with his songwriting partner, Joel Hirschhorn, Kasha won Academy Awards for two songs featured in disaster movies: The Morning After, from The Poseidon Adventure (1972), and We May Never Love Like This Again, from The Towering Inferno (1974). Both songs were sung by then-newcomer Maureen McGovern, who also sang in Airplane! (1980) and Airplane II: The Sequel (1982). Kasha and Hirshorn were also nominated for Best Original Song (Candle on the Water) and Best Score Oscars for their work on Pete’s Dragon (1977).
Kasha was born in New York City on January 22, 1937. His musical career began at age 22 when he became a producer at Columbia Records. There he worked with singer/songwriters such as Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Carole King, Neil Sedaka, and Neil Diamond. Over the course of his career, Kasha also had the opportunity to work with artists like Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Bobby Darin, and Jackie Wilson.
