Now that the first half of 2017 is officially over, it’s never too early to start compiling eventual picks for the year’s best movies. USA Today got the bandwagon started today by listing their 10 best for 2017 to date.
Coming in at #10 is Colossal, the Anne Hathaway-led action/comedy/disaster movie. Per the article:
The film lovingly tweaks disaster-movie conventions, yet it’s also very much a thoughtful character study about addiction, bullying and throwing down, Godzilla-style, for what’s right.
Since its theatrical debut in April, Colossal has grossed more than $3 million in the US alone. It currently has a 6.3/10 score on IMDb, a 70/100 Metascore, and 80% on RottenTomatoes.
