Yes, it’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the fifth entry into the Michael Crichton cinematic universe. This one is set several years after the 2015 “reboot,” and involves a volcano threatening all of the dinos that overran the park the last time.
J.A. Bayona is a perfect pick for director, given his experience with The Impossible. That 2012 film ended up garnering praise not only for stars Naomi Watts and Tom Holland but also for its special effects, cinematography, and production design. Very hopeful signs.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are back in their roles as the Dino Whisperer and Corporate Stooge, respectively, and Jeff Goldblum is back from the 1993 original as Dr. Ian Malcolm. Sequels, uh, find a way.
JP:FW is set for a June 22, 2018 release.
