The Fog hits Paris, too–who knew?
Just a Breath Away is the English-language title for Dans la brume (literally, In the Fog), a rare disaster-movie offering from France. It tells the story of a couple living a happy life in the City of Light, when a lethal mist suddenly begins to erupt out of the sewers. As people begin to move to the upper floors and rooftops to survive, food and information become scarce. The situation becomes particularly precarious for the couple’s young daughter, whose immune disease requires her to live in an isolation pod. Can they save her?
Daniel Roby (La peau blanche, Versailles) directed stars Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Oblivion) and Romain Duris (All the Money in the World, Mood Indigo), and the writers were Guillame Lemans (The Next Three Days), Jimmy Bemon, and Mathieu Delozier.
Just a Breath Away will open in France on April 4 and in Turkey on April 27. No word yet whether it will make it to the U.S., but I hope to be able to see it!
